I'm looking at the schematic for the left side control(your drawing is easier to follow with these old eyes), specifically the turn signal/run lights interphase. According to the diagram, there should be the lt.blue/white and orange/white leading from the switch box. I don't see it on the piece I have installed. I have the brown going in, but not the blue/wh or or/wh coming out. This is on the old 1200, the turns work fine though I need to decide what I'm going to use in front for run/turn. I pulled out the 1200's OEM turn signal system, what a nightmare....tossed it on the bench. Then picked up an LED compliant flasher and wired it in using some of the in/output from the old flasher wiring. Had to pick up a new source for 12v but it all works fine and I got rid of a bunch of wires and a rather bulky module, about the size of our ICM. Just wired everything direct designed after our Valk and all is well. But this business of the run lights dropping out when you hit the turn sig. has me stumped. Any thoughts?

It's pouring out so guess I'll go back and open up that control and see if there's a wire color change I'm not aware of. Can't imagine why but someone could have buggered them up somewhere in the past.....got them off Ebay long time back.

UPDATE: Don't you just love it when somebody messes with a perfectly good part. I went back out and pulled the harness out of the bike. I started to double check all my prior connections when I adapted the Valk controls to the 1200 and all is well. Whilst doing so, the harness inside the rubber sleeve felt thicker at about 4" back from the 9 pin connector, so I split it far enough back to see what's what. There they were, both of the wires in question; lt blue/wh and or/wh. Why in blue blazes would someone do that is beyond me. When I got it there was no evidence of anything different, guess I wasn't observant enough to spot the missing wires, since I didn't yet have my front lights it wasn't an issue. First time lesson I won't forget soon. I soldered extensions on both and added the bullet connectors on the end. Then tested them again with a clip on trouble light and it works as designed. Wish I knew who did it, would love to send them a bag of dog crap for their birthday.  Angry
