Usually every year I lead a ride up hwy 1. Well this year I am leading one for the Chaparral Riders club. It will be a 3 day ride starting on Oct 10 thru the 12th. I'm only leading the first day up the usual route I take to Gilroy. The next day Ron the President of Chaparral will be leading a ride around the 5 bridges of the bay area. A few of us have talked about going up to Silverton Oregon to visit our friend Ed aka Stump. He has bought a bar up there and I think it would be great to see him again as well as a great ride. So anyway this ride is open to all riders. If your interested in joining us on this ride let me know. I'm not building a sign up page so just email me. The link at the bottom of this page shows all the information and motel info. There are also link to each days route. For me I would like to leave for Oregon on Sunday maybe only riding a part way of the planned route. So in that case I would only make my reservation for Saturday the 10th. The first stop from Chaparral will be at the Shell station on Pico Blvd in Santa Clarita. It's right across the street from the IHop we usually meet at and the time would be at 8:00am with leaving the Shell station at 8:30am. That should save some of you from not having to come all the way to San Bernadino if you live closer to Santa Clarita. Chaparral has a good group of riders and will make you feel welcome. I know John G enjoyed himself with them when he joined up on the Death Valley ride earlier this year.

So keep it in mind and let me know if your interested.

I saved a few bucks by getting my reservation online thru the Motel 6 Gilroy web site.

Invitation is still open to any of my VRCC friends who would like to ride up the coast on October 10th. The plan was for some of us to ride on to Oregon but that plan as been postponed until a later date. So if your interested in a nice ride on Saturday the 10th come on out. On Sunday I plan on going up to Santa Rosa and spend a few days with my cousin and aunt.

Ron is rethinking the 5 bridges idea because of traffic but I'm know he'll come up with a good ride. I will ride with them for a while on Sunday and then break away in the afternoon. So Dennis are you thinking about going on the ride?

Hey Dave,

I took some time off in October so I could go see Ed in Oregon with you guys. But that was canceled.

Well, I still have the time off in October, from the 9th through the 20th.  So yes, I still want to ride somewhere.
