It is almost time for me to change my tires (maybe 1000 miles left to the front, 2000 to the rear).

I'm thinking of changing both at the same time and going dark side. (I know, I know... flaming death...  Evil  )

Doing this will require reprogramming the TPS on the rims... front/rear swap.

Can this be done by just swapping the two valve stems instead of bringing it in somewhere to have them re-programmed?

I run a Yokohama run flat on the wing and just live with the light blinking. With the warmer temps we have been having, the tpms light quits flashing. I just check tire pressure on a regular basis and ride. I didn't feel the need to reprogram.

I couldn't do that... the blinking would drive me crazy!!!

Hell... I don't even like the amber "Cruise" indication... I can just as easily look at the button to see that.

I may just take the dash apart enough to unplug those two lights.    Undecided

Check on the Goldwing sites.  Several have done either a reverse register using a scan tool loaned from member to member, others have disabled the system (battery failure in the sensor causes the light to be on) by two jumpers (one for TPMS and one for LOW PRESSURE).  Search the GL 1800 RIDERS yep COM for more.
