yeah i know not technically an 1800 tech topic, although i do want to put this kind of artwork on my Valkyrie gas tank someday... anyone know some good artists?? i stumbled across this when looking at pics of the Honda Rune- love the Anime Valkyrie art on the gas tank.

I wouldn't turn that bike down if it were given to me but I would be getting it painted pronto...

About the same here, but I respect not only the work involved but the choice of machine.  If you're going to do a really far-out paint job, the Rune is about as far out-there vehicle to put it on that there is.

My first (black) interstate came with some pretty wild airbrushed blue fire-breathing dragons on the bags. My seller told me he paid $450 a bag to some guy at Americade he thought was quasi famous (I never heard of him, but I wasn't an art major).  I would not have done this, but they grew on me.... especially in a sea of black interstates.  LOL

I appreciate some artwork, but I don't care for most wild bike paint jobs.  I'm more of a subdued pinstripe and accent guy on a very clean and polished machine.  Having gone through an expensive hand prep and paint job on an old corvette, I ended up with something I was afraid to leave anywhere in public lest some cretin decide to use a key on it because he feels disadvantaged for not having one.

For sure, any kind of artwork is an individual thing (on your bike, or on your walls).
