I've added a Custom Dynamics 12 LED light bar w/flashing brake alert to my std. 2000, no problem, love it.  Wanted to add the same LED to a boat trailer with standard (non LED) 4 wire harness.  Customer Dynamics states 'no load equalizer or resistors required'. I've not be able to make it work for anything except as a 'running light'.  I'm unable to figure out how to use a single brake wire (to the LED ) to work with both left and right trailer lights, which also are also the directionals.  I assume a switching diode wired between the LED brake wire and the trailer brake lights would take care of this problem, but I have no idea how to make this happen.

The Valk was easy because the braking and turn signals are separate circuits.

Hopefully, some of the more electrical street smart members might have a solution.
thanx,
bill

Here's my schematic solving your wiring need:

A description of how I used it is at

http://www.horseapple.com/Valkyrie/Tech_Tips/VTX_signals/vtx_signals.html

This tech tips page explains the logic of how the relays are used.

If your wires already provide the signal separated from the brake and turn lines, (you don't need to parse them) on the single wire from each side, and has another wire for the running lights, then you can simply eliminate the relays from this circuit - just bring in the brake/turn line for each side instead, in it's place.  Easy-peasy.

I will be wiring my 97 Tourer's rear marker lights with this circuit, as well as the Super-Highlighter, both of which I already wired the same on Deerslayer.  Here's the Super-Highlighter on Deerslayer:
