I have stated here several times how much I HATE taking off the gas tank.  I would rather do anything else on these bikes...remove fairing, rear wheel removal, fork seal replace...Anything but deal with the damn tank!!    tickedoff

Well, I can't get the fuel line on.  As you all know, the fuel line is just long enough to fit with the tank in it's final position.  Can't reach it with my hands.  I have the extra long needle nose pliers...straight and 90 deg.

I have had the tank off this one, my I/S before, but can't remember how I got the fuel line on.

Is there a trick I have forgotten?

Any tips?

Would a quick release make it any easier?  I have one of those on my Std and thought I would never get the ends to meet and connect.  Surprised it hasn't pulled itself apart.

I'd say keep trying to figure out how to make it go back on
and don't add any extra stuff...

WD40 or alcohol might make the line easier to slip on, WD40
works as starter fluid so it won't matter if there's a little in there.
I've done it without blowing up  Smiley ...

You've pulled that little clip enough out of the way that you're
not fighting it, right?

Try not to bugger up the gas line with the forceps, I bet it
is way harder to change out than it is to jamb back on...

I had a quick disconnect and didn't like it so I took it off.  It leaked and was harder to disconnect.
I have an inline gas filter that gives me more gas line to work with.
