Fuel Line Length

Does anyone know if I made a new piece of fuel line hose that runs from the petcock to the "T" that is 1/2" longer, would that create a problem?
I seem to remember that in the past it was stated lengthening that hose could cause a problem. I'm thinking 1/2" would make things a bit more easier putting things back together.
I have a quick disconnect coming for my I/S. I have one of those on my Std and remember it was quite a stretch to get the thing connected...surprised it has not pulled itself apart. I think an extra 1/2" of hose would of been just right on that bike.

Just make sure there are no kinks or rises in the line. The fuel is gravity fed so the line must not restrict flow.
