Please chime in, and thanks in advance. I just rebuilt the carbs and yesterday did a stealth desmog (as I like the look of the chrome air lines ). I have added a DanMarc electric fuel shutoff. As I understand the blogs the vacum line that was at the # 6 cylinder went to the petcock. Since I have the DanMarc and dont need the vacum line, does the petcock now become useless without the vacum or can it be modified as it is to work as a petcock manually without vacum; or should I just get a manual petcock to work with it. This whole redo also includes an inline fuel filter. And is there a chance that the DanMac can leak?
And finally a shout out and thanks to D-Ray Smith your vids are excellent, couldnt have done it without you, glad you were in my garage.

Here is a link on modifying the petcock, basically you swap the spring to the opposite side of the diaphragm, the spring replaces the vacuum action and keeps the "vacuum section" of the petcock open. The selector switch/valve still operates as normal.
