I went over to my buddy Murdoc's yesterday to let him learn me how to change tires. He is a great mentor, and it went well. We replaced both tires, rear brakes, and installed new rear bearings, also. We had just a little trouble getting the rear caliper back in place, but with a hot mechanic swinging a hammer it went right in. The tire is a Goodyear American Eagle 205/60-16. I haven't ridden it enough to pass judgement just yet. I do have a confession to make. I did trailer it over to Ohio. I couldn't figure a way to get my wife and two tires there. She didn't like the idea of holding them for 160 miles. I'll see you all in a couple weeks.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

I've always used a directional summer tire and they don't come in a 60 ( if they do I've not seen one ) . I've had ( 7 ) Cooper Zeon 2XS ( 205/55/16 ) and made the call to try something new on one of my bikes since my last Cooper only lasted 7,400 miles. I have the Fuzion ZRi mounted on " BADMOJO " and with alittle over 2,000 miles on it now I'm liking it so far. As long as I ride a Valkyrie it will have a DarkSide on it.Picture is the Fuzion ZRi.

Looks good Dave. I've ran three CT's the second two handled much better than the first one. Number one was a bridgestone potenza and the other two were the hankook. See you in the wind. Mac

Crazyhorse, Is your Hankook a 55 or a 60 series? I've been looking for a Hankook in a 60 series. I think they handle much better than the 55's, due to the added height, the sidewall seems to "give" more in the corners. Love the tread pattern on them!

For the weight of these bikes you need RATCHET straps. The strap you are using the weight of the bike will yank them loose on about the 1st good bump ya hit..... Trust me, I was in motor recovery part time for several years.................

Looks good, Couple of things though? First. Crazyhorse those are really cool tips on the cans. How can I get a set? If you made them give me a hint as to how you did it. And RJ is right on with the straps, You obviously have made it with the straps but it is like playing Russian roulette

Just a comment.
Is that license tag out of date? I see '12-07' and that tells me the expiration is December of 2007. Maybe your state has changed ways of licensing and you are OK. Just commenting on my observation.

I agree with ya on the rear straps. The front wheel of the bike is in a Condor wheel chock, and has ratchet straps, but I haven't gotten ratchets for the rear. As for the license plate, the 12-07 is the month and day. In the upper right corner of the plate, (which you can't see) there is a 09 for the year.

Looks good dont forget to do the cage nut mod under fender. It might rub on right keep eye on it. I have Champion side bags and did cage nut mod before installed Champions. And the New bolt was just contacting the tire had to grind it off.
