Hi guy's, I have a lot of rattle on the front end. I'm not 100% sure but I think it's the calipers . I know they are floating calipers but is there a way to stop them from rattling . It's very annoying wen you hit rough roads, it sounds like the hole front end is cumming apart. One more thing, every time I put on the brakes I get a small clunk. I use to have a Valk a while back and I don't remember it having the rattle and clunk.  I'm use to driving my Wing, nice and quiet, maybe I'm just going to have to get use to the noise.  Thanks guy's

Does the rattle stop when you apply the brake?
Go down a "rough" road and gently apply the brake. Does the rattle stop?
If so, look for a front brake pad and from the bottom of the pad, push it up.
Does it move and go clunk? It shouldn't move and go clunk. The retaining spring is not doing its job.
Re-adjust the spring so the pad remains in place.

If the rattle does not stop when you apply the brake, the rattle is coming from elsewhere.

cooldude on what was said about the spring clips on the pads. But even with the spring clips correct on my bike, until I put OEM pads on there (I had cheap aftermarket pads couple of times), the rattling was way worse

I went out and check the pads, I notice the holes were the pin goes in is a bit worn ( oval shape ) so the pads are a bit sloppy. When I took the front wheel off to do the springs last week , I notice what look like some kind of blue glue holding the pads in place on the caliper so they don't move. When I did the front end I clean that glue off and I guess it was put there for that reason .
