I think he is talking about the nuts behind the passenger foot peg mount. The header nuts are 10mm the hanger ones are 12 or 14.  Nothing on the stock exhaust is 8mm

Actually, they are 8 mm cap nuts. It's the shank size.

Well, ya..I remember when I went to Fastenal, I was amazed at how things were sized,labeled, named etc.

Screws, nuts, bolts, etc. are specified according to thread size, not wrench size.

It's the rear support bracket, below the rear foot peg. I think the studs are on the exhaust, then go through the support bracket. It's been hard to keep the one left tight.
