You need another 4 or 5 years to perfect your new found skill.

Yup, don't take this the wrong way but, nice looking seat you got there! Glad it all worked out for you.

No issues with the fires in your recent travels?

Grin no problems with fires at all. Went thru a couple burned areas but no active fires. But I was amazed how far down Shasta Lake was.

You know, mostly only Valk riders know the Valk's nickname is the dragon.

I am thinking some unenlightened folk, seeing the back seat, may think the driver/owner took a little poetic license I (and humor) with the BRENDA right over the angry looking dragon.   Grin

When in the restaurant watching folks looking over your bike, see if you don't get some confirmation of this.  (I'd be looking for guys laughing, not the gals)

I suppose there wasn't enough room to get MEATHEAD on the driver's backrest?  Grin

BTW, I like the seat and the dragon.

You know I went back and forth with putting her name over the dragon. Luckily for me she is pretty good natured about that kind of stuff. BUT if she ever found out they put in the HD suspension in the pillion seat because she`s slightly over 150 lbs. my life would be a living hell.  2funny

Wow that really looks sweet!  Color came out perfect! Sherry and I always loved our R-D-L seat we had on our 2000 black Interstate, good buy!  The Corbin for two up and stock for Solo on the 1800c for now but Russell will be making one soon.  Now that you have it, that is the first thing other riders will see on your bike cooldude

Thanks, and I will send just the solo seat but first there are other things like fog lights and more black powder coating I want so for now the Corbin for two up and stock for solo will do.

Here is the sweet old girl.

Thanks  cooldude I'm happy how they turned out. But I'm happiest with my butt not hurting after 400 miles or so.

Did the ride in at RDL back in May. 500 wonderful miles on the first day and have never though twice since. Best motorcycle decision I have ever made. Spent months researching and comparing. More comfortable than a Lazy-Boy Smiley

Can I use a utopia backrest and install that into the Russell seat myself without having to ship it out. Meathead, looks like yours might be a 2 piece seat. But, I also need a new prescription for my glasses.. Nice seat..

Thanks your glasses are fine. I'm not familiar with how the Utopia mounts up.  The Russell people are pretty knowledgeable and helpful, I'd give them a call.

Glad to hear you are enjoying it and that I didn't steer you wrong. Am doing a 10,000 mile trip this summer and looking forward to every mile already. Will be in Morgantown at about 6,000 miles. Will be a nice break point for a few days.
