I ran into another guy with a Valk this afternoon here in Georgia that had what I believe to be 6" speakers crafted into the lids of his side saddlebags. Never seen that before and I'd figure someone either makes a kit for it or the guy paid a pretty penny to have them installed on his bike....

Has anyone else done this and or seen this? Or know where a kit for it could be bought if it's a kit thing? I'm all for more noise other than the hum of the motor to drown out all of this rap crap you hear in Atlanta! Nothing like a bit of hard rock or bagpipes to shut that crap down!

I know of no kit for that. He probably did it himself. The bag wouldn't be good for storing/carrying anything because it would leak pretty bad I am guessing.

There are guys on here that have done that, also on the inside. I don't remember them leaking but I'm not that into music, so I don't really follow those posts very close.

That's my thinking too; he had quick disconnects to remove the lids off the bags but that was about the only difference..also dynamatted the entire box apparently

The Interstate bag hinge allows the lids to separate from the bag itself. There are 2 catch cables that let it swing off to the side. Maybe if you could seal off the lid itself or have a spare set to play with, you could try it.

Probably use marine grade speakers so water and sealing is not an issue.

Cut four inch holes in your helmet and tape some 6 X 9s over the holes, facing in.

My bags are for carrying stuff and I need all the space I can get.
