Does it make sense to add the Dan-Marc electric shut off and use the stock petcock?  A search of the forum results in a lot of info when going to the Pingle unit, but I would like to service the stock unit, and add the Dan-Mark when I de-smog.  Speaking of, can the Dan-Marc be installed without desmoging, or is the space un-available without removing the gismo under the the airbox?

I am using the stock petcock with a AFC-111 electric shut off on my yellow bike. I have however modified my stock petcock to remove the vacuum function and use it manually.

Yes , you can use it with the stock petcock...

You don't have to desmog , but why not do it...

DITTO, I have two bikes setup that way. I like the safety feature Honda built into the petcock even though it maybe a problem if not working properly.
