What a madhouse, vendors are packed in and around that whole area. Hardly able to park the SUV. One guy told me where I could park, was nearly 1/4 miles away. Told him at the moment I can't walk that far unless they have a shuttle. No dice. Finally grabbed a spot and took my return stuff inside, dealt with an old fella I've dealt with before. Someone kept "testing" the air horn display so he finally asked me to wait a minute, walked over and yanked the battery. Guy has a voice like gravel but real friendly, we chatted for a bit then I picked out what was needed to finish the brake hookup for the front wheel on the 1200. Saw a yellow/white Valk parked on the back side of the bldg., wonder who it might have been. Judging by the mass of people and bikes, I'll not be riding over....assuming my parts come in for the Valk.

I think I have dealt with the same guy John, he is the only one that seems happy to deal with bikes other than a HD, good guy. As for the crowds, well I will put up with a little of it Saturday morning in hopes of attracting a buyer for my Standard and then head for the back roads.

I can relate John, I won't go near the place during these Bike events. Not a big fan of big crowds either, especially on motorcycles.  The only yellow and cream I know of is Jim Malone. Did it have those bags and trunk you installed?  cooldude

Nope...no bags, etc., I didn't look at the plate to see where it was from. The bikes were parked pretty close and if I tried to take a look(all were backed in) it might have appeared a bit questionable. Looking out of place in a sea of bikes is not a safe thing to do.  Wink

Deb, I won't be at the shrimp place Saturday. I get the parts tomorrow to repair the rear caliper but the replacement hydraulic line won't be here until possibly Friday. I still hope to make the pizza party, depends on how things are going here. If it improves some, I'll be there but only if I feel OK about leaving for a few hours.

Shore is glad ya'll got J&P Cycle down there now instead of up here in Eye-o-wa.   They became a pain in the arse.

They supposedly sold out up here and moved to Florida.      Happy Days.

Drove through Daytona last night and it is starting to rock.  Passed a red and white trike on the way as well as blue and silver Valk on 92.  On Main St there was a black and red Interstate like mine parked next to a F6B one had custom Fl plate.  I had to park way down the street with my HD buddies.
Going to the track to see if I can get a new Avon for the front this morning.
My sister and brother in law are on fall color ride in NC with their Valk group.  Beautiful pics
