I'm  repeating this massage .  :'(I rebuilt carbs on may bike with no problem's, what is killing me is installing them back on the motor. All the vacuum hoses and the gas hoses and every hose. I have every diagram there is that I know of, I also have motor manual from Honda. I have been working on this for a week.
I realize I'm not the smart's pickle in the barrel infect     I need a diagram shows hose starts here and ends here......

#2, 3, & 5 intake vacuum nibs are capped. #1 & #4 are connected at a midpoint by a "T", then from the "T" up to the pair valve. ( That is if the bike has not been  De-smogged). The #6 is vacuum supply line to the petcock. You should be able to locate the gas line from this point. Hope this helps and also hope this is not a California  Valkyrie.

I put on a new petcock and no gas comes out--I was instructed to suck on that #6 line to get the gas flowing...you sure can't do it in public..and it isn't working well in the garage either--I need to find a suction device of some sort as the tube isn't long tickedoff enough to get my lips on it tickedoff

Just get a long length of vacuum hose or better yet, clear airline hose from an aquarium supply.  That way, you can make sure that if it's really messed up and gas is coming out the vacuum hole, you don't swallow any.  It doesn't take a lot of reverse pressure (sucking) to get the petcock to open and you can then pinch the tube to hold the pressure once it's flowing.

Somewhere on the internet, there is a picture of me, sucking on Sparky51's petcock vacuum line........not too flattering to say the least.  But, it WAS on the side of the road with plenty of witnesses.  He was broke down and we were replacing his petcock to get him back on the road.

Yea, I should have know better around this dysfunctional family...  Cheesy

Here's a vacuum hose link from the old "Shop Talk" page…

http://www.valkyrieriders.com/shoptalk/AirBox%20VentHose/venthose.htm

It shows what Red Diamond explained…

Hope it helps!
