Does anyone know if Gary (as posted in an older topic of this forum ) is still making his Wheel Dampers for the Valkyrie and if so how do I get in touch with him and how much would they cost ?

Thanks,

Gerry

He passed away. You can get the ones for the Interstate models. They have the metal collar imbedded in them.

Is Honda no longer offering them for the Std/Tourer models?

Reason for recommending the Interstate models is that they have the aluminum drive rings molded inside and you don't have to buy them separate.  They will all fit each model.

That part number is just for the rubbers. Partzilla includes the metal insert as well.

The metal insert is made inside the rubber Dampners. Look at the plate that holds them down mine was bad because of the metal rubbing on them after the rubber wore away from the metal.

Actually, the p/n given is the same for the I/S dampers with the metal inserts. Strange that the # is the same for just the rubbers if you look on a 2000 Tourer screen, the metal inserts are an extra $9.99. Anyway, just order item #1 off an I/S screen and you get the complete set.
