I guess if you wanted to sell the bike to someone in California some day, you should keep them, otherwise they just take up space.

Mail it to the EPA.  Use someone else's return address.   2funny

I have a box with two sets of removed desmog.  I think it's cool to look at, but even all the hose is suspect for cracks and dry-rot.  I kept it in case it might someday have to be reinstalled to pass some G inspection, but now the bikes are so old it seems doubtful that would ever happen (so long as you don't live in one of the People's Republics States).

The short answer is NO.

Yeah, I do.  I got three sets sitting on a shelf just in case.

I kept my desmog parts for a couple of years before throwing them away. Put something else in the space they were taking up.

I immediately removed and trashed my smog crap as I was building my bike from parts.

They went in the recycle bin apart from the grommets, O ring and clamps. Salvaged for future use  cooldude
