Any trick to open engine front oli cover (number 1 on picture)?

I have one of bolts cut from some former owner...

I can make it move, but it won't come off.

What can you move, the cover or the bolt?

The only resistance you have to overcome (after ALL of the bolts are out - look carefully, they can be hard to see.) is the gasket stuck and the dowel pins (2 of item 15).

There are also two built-in pry point tabs. Be careful with those, walking it side by side until they clear. I'm SURE those dowels are what is holding you up, if indeed ALL of the bolts are removed. I'd go as far as to pry/walk it out some, spray some Deep Creep where the dowel pins are, then lightly whack it back on with a rubber dead blow. Repeat as needed. Brute force is NOT your friend here.

I would use the new gasket to help you COUNT that all of the bolts are out.

The dowels can get galled in the bores pretty badly. I make it a point to replace them. I also clean their bores with a bronze bore brush and apply copper anti-seize to make it easier the next time.

If you leave the dowels in place, they make it more difficult to get all of the old gasket material off.

Careful putting it back - there's a small brass oil galley restrictor that feeds the trans bearings that is pressed into the back of the cover and has an o-ring where it mates to the bearing cover. When I pulled mine apart it stuck in the trans bearing cover. I fought quite a while until I figured that out. Pulled it out and tapped back in place on the front cover - fell right together again - much easier to line up an o-ring fit than the press fit end!
