Just checked in and was floored by the bad news. There are some people bigger than life, that you just expect to stick around forever.
The tough exterior, the good natured teasing and the twinkle in the eye when he fooled someone into thinking he was serious. Everyone was drawn to him, and I am happy to say, I had an "audience" with him at one of the InZanes. The women all loved him and he loved the attention.
A wonderful example of his generation- patriot, soldier and a guy that refused to let health issues bring him down. One of the last, real, tough guys.
You will be missed, by many. My condolences to his family, which includes this club.

Thank everybody for all the wishes, the prayers, and the pictures it really means a lot to me. Dad touched a lot of lives during his life. Very proud of him in the life he lived. I have no regrets. We spent a lot of time on the road . (A lot of times only on two wheels.) A few times on one wheel. The other two wheel rides were on the Trike. But many of miles on four wheels. He love the road trips , and so did my sister and I. What a blast he was to travel with. My sister and I are also motorcycle licensed riders and were brought up learning to ride because he taught us how to ride. Earlier this summer dad signed both of the trikes over to us. Valarie received the Cobra trike, and I received the Valkyrie which was just modified into a trike a year or so ago. I have been riding the Valkyrie every summer for him to keep it limbered up. And Valarie finally took over the Cobra riding times. We share them, and plan to do so until we both can't ride anymore. I hope to come to INZANE with Valarie, and my other sister Deb which finally found her way back into our lives Christmas Eve last year. And if all goes well maybe bring both trikes down with us. It's supposed to be 28 degrees RealFeel of 18 degrees the day of his funeral, but I am determined that all three kids on the Cobra, will be at his funeral service! P.S. the Cobra actually has a 383 stroker close to 475 horse power didn't know if he really told anybody the truth about that, it wasn't a 350. He had me take that out years ago when he took it on Power Tour. Thanks everybody for being so kind to him. Someone taught me how to post on the VRCC a year ago. I will try my best to post once in awhile during my busy schedule, just to keep in touch with all of you. Love from Des Moines Iowa, Rex J Bullard (Bullard Performance Inc.)

I was just thinking about him today ,looking at those Jardine headers he liked on the valk .Met him when he came to the airport in Des Moines to give me a ride to Indianola to pick up the valk at the honda dealer there . He was a fine person with lots of interesting stories about his life and rides .I told him he should write a book! Ride on RJ, may the force ride with you.

He always gave me crap about having a much younger wife. Also gave me crap when we divorced. I forget what he said but it was funny. Even tho the VRCC x-mas card giving has died out, I still did receive a card every yr. Always a neat card. Gonna miss the card this yr. Even some holidays and my b-day I'd always have a e-card in my inbox. Met him at one of the CBR rides. He got tired of taking pictures so he gave me the camera. I took pix for about a hrs. Brian, I got my card in the mail today. You will probably get yours too. Hay Jimmyt
