We are still a nation at war and as disturbing as it was, we need to keep those images fresh in our minds.

I would only point out (and I'm not directing this at you specifically) that disagreements over how best to respond to the tragedy of 9/11 do not necessarily imply that one side or the other has "forgotten" or "no longer cares" about those events. Those who disagreed vehemently with the Bush administration's response to 9/11 and those who supported it can lay equal claim to "caring" about the tragedy itself.

9/11 in New Zealand was yesterday and you may like to know there was a lot of memories screened on the TV Channells last night. My family and I watched the programme on the Falling Man and yes we DO remember and still shed a tear for all those poor souls that had to endure that terrible day...both those that died and the people who survived and who were affected.
Time may heal but no one should ever forget the evil b******s that are still out there.

Puff even though you and I disagree on many things, I certainly can agree with this statement.  My father-in-law a brilliant physicist and man I disagree with on many philosophical issues, is an individual that fits that statement.

As I left out today I couldn't help but notice how similar the sky was to Sept 11th, 2001

I think I will always remember what a beautiful day that it started out to be.

Then later in the days that followed the absense of all air traffic and jet trails in the sky.

That was the first time ever in my life that I've ever noted a complete absense of airplanes in the sky.

I will also never forget the video of people in the middle east that were "CELEBRATING" the loss of life here in America.

Palestinians celebrating the fall of the twin towers on 911powered by Aeva

This coupled with the other "Haunting" images of that day will be ingrained in my memory for as long as I have one.

I sincerely hope and pray that nothing like this ever happens again.

I also greatly fear that it will if Americans ever allow themselves to forget who our enemies are.

I wear this patch on the back of my jacket to remind myself and others that there is no place on earth that should be a haven for terrorist:
