On the way to work today I encountered some heavy traffic. When I ride this bike, I only see one solution to such a problem... Go through it.

I actually didn't realize exactly how swiftly I was moving until after I reviewed the video. I prefer to be faster than everyone else, as it keeps those who are too busy doing other stuff to pay attention to a motorcycle that might be slowing down in front of them from running into me. So me passing everyone wasn't an indicator that I was approaching warp 1.

Ya, I find it easy as well to be aggressive and clear the traffic.  I would however give myself a little more distance from the cars in front at those speeds.  I am have been down.  It's no fun.  Funny, the worst part of going down and what is most imprinted in my my mind is the horrible sound of the bike sliding on the pavement.

Nice video.

We manage traffic pretty much the same. The only difference is, I only manage day shift, can't see good at night any more. (Old age.)

4,000 rpm. @ an indicated 90mph., same as mine.
IMHO, a six speed trans would be a great improvement.

I have no problem with the actions but I have a problem with the technique: you didn't use a signal a single time and several times you crossed across 2 lanes in a single movement.  Both actions are moving violations (again, I have no problem with the speed, I think speed limits in many places are nothing more than legalized extortion zones).

Actually, I used the blinker six separate times.

Actually he did use the signal a few times and I have no problem in the technique either, but I do have a question, if you are in say a right lane and  lane and you want to cross the middle lane next to you and go into the left lane.  Doing it in one swing is a violation? I never realized that it was lucky that I have not done it.  But was interested in the fact that its illegal.

This bike just turns so quick its effortless and now with the new grips it really feels dialed in.

Yes, the cops consider it an"unsafe lane change" and can decide, when they are having a sugar crash because their donuts ran out, to ticket you for it.  It is the most bullcookies of excuses to write a ticket but they also use it as an excuse to pull you over for other things, like a general examination of suspicion - where were you going in such a rush?

Sad I think riding like that in traffic will get you killed! But to each his own!! At 63 and 1000's of miles on a bike, I ride way more conservative than that

Hey that was a cool video!  Don't let some of these old grannys yell at u! Grin Wink  I drive a semi during the warm months for a living so I spend allot of time on the road.  The *only* problem I could see is that sometimes people will not see you approaching so quickly..do a quick lane check to make a lane change...did not see you, and then you are there...and they run into you moving into that lane your bustin' butt down!

So as long as you maintain that utter invisibility mind set/paradigm..you *should* be okay. Just remember the laws of probability...the faster you go, the less options you have to correct...and the greater your chance for a collision...

I ride like that once in awhile... Grin
