What is the correct force for the carb float seal spring? When ordering new seals, do they come with springs?I notice there are several different forces for new springs. I don't see the spring on the fiche. I'm I not looking hard enough? 2000 Tourer

Ride safe.

I think the float spring is in the float valve, and not replaceable, it's a very small plunger on top of the tiny lil float valve, there are several different vendors but stock is a Keihin 18-8955 best price is on amazon, $5 less than the jets r us price. this video may be helpful.
I have just been doing my homework because I am about to do my first carb job. These video's don't represent the amount of parts you get from "Redeye" kit because he doesn't separate the carbs.

That's my project too Sixlow. I'm popping the bike up on the table Chirsrmas eve and I have that whole week, after, to do the carb's and desmog too. I got the red eye carb hose and Orings kit plus new float valves. I picked up the "shiny desmog kit" to install. I'm going to put the pods on too. I got the crash bar, the plastic radiator shield and all the nuts and bolts ready. It's going to be a fun week for me. The web site you mentioned is where I've been going to, to get acquainted with the procedure.

I think there's a difference between the Std/Tourer and I/S radiators where the grill mounting hardware is concerned.

Compare Find #3, 19 and 20 shown here:

http://www.hondaeasttoledo.net/OEMpartfinder.htm#/Honda/GL1500C_AC_%2800%29_MOTORCYCLE%2c_USA%2c_VIN%23_1HFSC341-YA300001/RADIATOR/GL1500C-00-AC/2Y14MZ0VE1AMZ04F3200B

With Find #2, 23 and 24 here:

http://www.hondaeasttoledo.net/OEMpartfinder.htm#/Honda/GL1500CF_A_%2800%29_MOTORCYCLE%2c_USA%2c_VIN%23_1HFSC410-YA100001/RADIATOR/GL1500CF-00-A/2Y14MBYXE1AMBY4F3300AA

At a minimum you'll need the I/S grill mounting brackets - and may need an I/S radiator to boot IF the top bracket mounting bosses are absent on the Std/Tourer radiator.

Perhaps other members can chime in on this. I'm going to add pods to mine next spring and bought a complete, used I/S radiator - including required brackets.

John I do have the I/S radiator brackets (4 of them) and the longer buzz bolt too. I just didn't mention it. I'm aware that the chrome side radiator covers will have to be removed but I believe the top radiator cover can stay. The bike is a 2001 interstate the P/O did not like the look of the pods so he removed them. I don't believe the radiator is different.

Ahhh...you're good to go at that point. It's a little harder when adding pods to the other two models!
