what are you doing , Robert ?
Got some new grips and wanted to lube the cables at the throttle body end. Since the grips are longer than the oem I decided to move the switch box housings and brake and clutch reservoir inboard a bit. The real problem was that there wasn't really enough slack in the cables to comfortably play around and get it the way I wanted so had to take everything apart and take the cable off the throttle body. Pretty much the same procedure would be for changing the air filter also. Pretty interesting though got a chance to put some WD40 on the engine and took a look at the water pump and thermostat.
Another nice thing is the tank is really well engineered to be taken off. The fuel line is a quick disconnect and the tank sits up without a problem so you can disconnect everything underneath with something holding the back of the tank up till you take it off.
As for relaxed I went in on Saturday when I got the grips on Thursday because I would have rushed it. Not putting on a new thing right away takes self control
