New Battery

 Has anyone purchased a new Yuasa battery lately
Every dealer in the bay area was between $200.00-$219.00 then add tax. I found one on-line for $138.00 and Honda West Coast Power Sports in Clearwater matched it
  Boy, they've been good to me. They also mounted my tires which I bought online.  Just $80.00 front, rear, mount and balance, lube. 45 min. while I waited. I'm impressed, they want to earn your business and will match internet pricing. Totally unlike my previous dealer attitude/experience.
 What happened to the days of a $30.00 motorcycle battery?

I get mine at Batteries Plus, runs right at $100. I replaced mine this past May, was five years old and still doing good but didn't want to get caught with an old battery. They're strong batteries, found them to be the equal of Yuasa and most others.

I should clarify, not the same battery as the Valk. This one is for the ST.
I never thought about Batteries plus John. I'm going to check and see what the difference is.
 
Yup, You are correct $98.99 plus 10% off coupon with same 1 year warranty. Now I'm not feeling as good about that deal

Me too, for almost everything/anything (if they carry what I am looking for).  I don't have prime, and just take free ground, and it's almost always 4-5 days, and no minimum most of the time.  I've only beat Amazon prices on a few occasions.

Wow those went up in price.....
Think I paid $80.00 7 or 8 years ago for a Yuasas? Right now I have a "BikeMaster" TruGel in the Valkyrie. Been running it for two years now and no problems. Paid $85.00 for it from Barney's in St. Pete.

I too have a battery from " battery's plus" I took it out of the Sabre since I'll be selling it soon. It's going on 2 years now. The battery in the valk was a cheaper battery.
Rural king also has battery's my jet ski battery was priced the cheapest at rural King for the same make. Their oil prices are great too.

Well.....if you guys remember....our supreme leader put the big nix on lead smeltering plants around 18 months ago and the largest of them all in the US went out of business before they had to pay over 10 million to update their emmisions equipment to meet new standards that were placed on them. Although the real reason was probably ammunition the offshoot was batteries as the majority of lead is now imported no doubt.

When I brought a battery for my ST1300 it was alot more than a Valkyrie battery. I think I paid $160 something 3 years.

Valk battery look about the same price as normal.

Yep and in Missouri put a lot of miners out of work. I used to haul equipment to Herculaneum, Missouri years ago. They were the largest lead producer in the US.

 Well after looking at the old and the new side by each, the old battery was an "Adventure Power" Chinese battery for $25.00 from Batteryshark.com  it was installed March 1st 2013 and last 2 years and 9 months with a tender. (PO kept good records)
 I installed a Yuasa YTZ14S factory AGM long life battery with 230CCA and will be maintaining with a tender as the pigtail is already installed by the PO.
 My Valkyrie Yuasa last over 8 years, without a tender but frequent riding. I guess one gets what one pays for. Curious to see how long this lasts on the ST?

drops 8 lbs of weight and have a 3 yr warranty.  and so small they are, gain storage capacity you will.

recommends going one size larger in capacity for longevity. the OP  "CY"  works in the industry.

I have one from Battery Tender in my DR200, for over a yr. Have had zero problems.
was almost 5 lbs lighter which is a lot for a 278lb bike that makes 15-18HP.
there is only a slight learning curve about charging them and when they are cold and have sat a while. one time went to start the bike after sitting for 3-4 months, very slow turn over, let sit with light on for few minutes. then off for a few minutes, the lith battery needs a load to wake-up. so then it started with zero problems.
I didn't see how I could go wrong with a 3 yr warranty whereas all AGMs are only 1yr.
when the walmart AGM for the valkyrie goes bad, I will put a lith in, and now with the high cost of lead, the prices are almost the same.

Replaced both mine this past summer bought Interstate batteries and right on the side they say YUASA.
