I put a little blip at the bottom of my Group Ride post. But I thought I should put it up separately as well. Billyboy went down this morning on the way up to meet us for a ride. He is ok, just a little scuffed up, luckily he was wearing all his gear. he said that one of our members (Steve) came down and drove his Valk back to his house, so I guess that it is still in good enough shape to ride. I think Billy said his hand is swollen, so hopefully he can use his other to take care of business I am sure he will chime in with all the details on how it wasn't his fault soon enough. Happy u weren't seriously hurt BB , the Valk can be fixed.

After BB figures out what parts need replacing, maybe we can scrounge thru our extra parts and get him whole again? We know that the parts don't have to be perfect as he never cleans his ride anyway

Good thing he wasn't wearing the Daisy Dukes, he'd really be messed up. Just think how the EMT's would react to that.....putting on their hazmats and all. Hope you're OK bud, glad you were wearing your gear.

Yep my fault tried to brake too hard and went into a high speep wobble went down and high sided too much front brake I guess. Brake lever slamed into my hand and it is swollen and I don't think it is broken. Right bag is scrapped up bad left one just a little I guess when I flipped. Jack is hooking me up with levers and grips. What a great person. Crash bar did it's thing what's left of it. Bike rode straight Steve said. Thanks guys hope to see you soon. Mike I need a few nurses right now you know. Thanks for the thoughts

Bummer there Billyboy! Sure glad you got out of that accident with little harm to yourself. Now I know why Jack sent me that special picture of a nurse, it was by mistake... I won't tell anyone about that Hot Hot nurse you got! Well, you get better so maybe we can catch up sometime next year.

Very sorry to hear of your mishap, BB, but also very glad to hear that it wasn't any worse, and that you were not seriously injured. As someone else said, the Valk can be fixed.

Hey Billy, glad you're gear helped protect you! Sorry it happened to you. The Old Harley safety officer in me always tries to analyze what happens in these mishaps in order to learn from them. You mean that you used the Front Brake only to try to slow your speed and it by itself caused a high speed wobble? That's strange, since the recognized method for getting out of a high speed wobble is to apply the brake. I've always used the front brake to scrub off speed, though, once I've applied the front, I'll also use the rear brake in combination. As I said, just trying to learn, not to pry! I've seen a lot of riders go down from instinctively using just the rear brake, locking it up and causing a skid that results in a high side get-off about half of the time. And yup, Jeff Parker is right. Things go wrong very quickly.
