Nope, but I need to. Rear tire isn't holding air so So it'll prolly get done over the winter. The one car garage with two bikes is almost clean enough to put one of them on the lift.

Well.... The wife and I were discussing the trip today. Unfortunately we decided it was going to take too much time. I think a cross country trip is going to have to wait till retirement I was really looking forward to riding with you guys. but I think it's going to have to wait. I am going to be very jealous hearing about the ride and seeing a ride report.

JFK to La Quinta in Valhalla is a schlepp! Oy, the JFK Expwy, to the Van Wyke Expwy, to the Whitestone Expwy, over the Whitestone Bridge, up the Hutchinson River Pkwy, west on the Cross County Pkwy, then north on the Bronx River Pkwy, which becomes the Sprain Brook Pkwy, which becomes the Taconic Pkwy. But the hotel is not far from the Pkwy exit. Just kidding, with no traffic, 40 minutes.

Hi OSS, That sure sounds like a fun ride. We've never ridden that area in the Fall. We have ride commitments the weekend before and after. Will check with Trish if she wants to ride 3 weekends in a row. Hoping we can make it. Dan

Wendy comes in to work at Comfort Inn tonite. I set this up in May with the hotel so ??? WTF
I visited with the Springfield Suites Marriott on Rt 119 in Elmsford right off the (287) Thruway EXIT 9 and blocks from the Saw Mill Parkway Working on getting a better price than list Stay tuned
They said they have 10 rooms that I could reserve and I have just in case the Comfort Inn wont free up the rooms for Saturday..
Its less than 5 minutes further from my home than the Comfort Inn.
Yeah Baldo and Meathead and Skinhead and Romeo and Gig It could be either explosive or a damn fine time to be had

Since I spent most of the summer with a sick bike, and now have a new to me IS I am thinking this is probably a ride we want to make. My daughter who lives in the city will soon be moving to Upper Montclair NJ, so we would probably be heading there either before or after. As far as riding into the city, I have always had a certain desire to do it. I have driven the cage there many times. You just need to adapt to your surroundings, become as assertive as those around you, teustme, they expect it, actually they demand it. I sort of enjoy it, in a sick sort of a way.

We leave Vegas at midnight and get to JFK at 7am, take cab to EagleRider, pick up GoldWing, then battle 20 million New Yorkers to get to the hotel in Elmsford. Want to get there early and run interference for me ?

After all how many times do you get to ride with 2 liberals from the VRCC ? Seriously though I hope nobody is deterred because of this. Of all the rides I've been on politics is about the last thing that comes up for discussion. Besides after a days riding and I have a couple beers back at the hotel I'm a happy drunk.

I can honestly say, the only thing keeping me away from this ride is money. Now, if you two admitted Liberals wanted to LIBERALLY grease my wallet, I'd not only come along, I would even tell folks I knew ya. Besides that, I owe one of ya an Iced Tea. May have to buy both of ya one, hard to tell Liberals apart ya know. Edited: That knowing ya thing ain't gonna be cheap ya know.

my wife says I am to the right of Ghengis Khan (hint not a liberal) So regardless of your political inclinations this series of rides will cover a lot a terrific scenery Gig are you still in? G-Man? Skyhawk? Perkins drive at top of Bear Mtn on the Friday ride http://nysparks.com/parks/13/details.aspxIf there are no rock slides we will take 218 up to Newburgh along the cliffs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzJrzZPuXnIhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEQ0GeYFrGAand stop at the motorcycle museum for a spell, some great stuff there http://www.motorcyclepediamuseum.org/

Looking forward to it. Only weather or catastrophe will keep me from attending. I'm definitely attending for the great ride you have proposed and to meet some brothers face to face, not for the political discourse, should there be any.
