Hi everyone, been away from the board for a while, hope you don't hold it against me.  Undecided

Still blasting around on my 01 Standard, black of course, because they go faster...

Have a problem with the headlight. The small dome shaped reflector that sits at the end of an arm directly in front of the bulb has broken off. Low beam now merely dumps light on the road just a couple of feet in front of the bike and high beam is now only as good as low beam used to be.

The honda dealer here in New Zealand wants $180 to order another part, have to buy the whole headlight assembly apparently.

I know more modern lights don't use this little dome reflector, they have something similar built into the bulb itself.

Does anyone know of such a bulb that will fit my seriously myopic old girl?

Thanks for your help.

I am sure you could get any number of after market buckets cheaper and mount it on the Valk. Find a scrap yard that has bikes and buy one cheap. Or put an ad in classifieds here I am sure someone has an extra but dont know about shipping costs. I bought an extra here for $25 some time ago.

HEADLIGHT UNIT
33120-MZ0-671 33120-MBH-671
$56.50 US dollars.

It seems you live closer to Japan than I do but not familiar about shipping to your neck of the woods either. Goodluck on your search.

I would upgrade to hid xenon or led lighting.. this way you get better light and you don't need that part with those setups

Do a search on the forums for LED headlights. There are multiple topics on this subject discussing LED headlights especially the cyclops LED headlight.
