January 16th @ 11:30 back where a lot of this started, Council Grove, Kansas.  Evil

So I have been talking with Trail Days Cafe and Museum about accommodating us, I told them 10-15, and they got a little nervous. Shocked It is a Mom and Pop operation that is run with volunteers. The cook, and you have to love this, Mrs. McClintock  Cool and her husband do the cooking. They have a menu on line http://www.traildayscafeandmuseum.org , but she kind of limited us on what we could order, as they are not set up to do a large group quickly. Undecided I told her we were not really in any hurry, but she was pretty nervous anyway.

What she suggested was their Buffalo Joes, some could have curly fries, some german cole slaw, some cottage cheese, some baked beans, or apples, etc. She did not think they could do curly fries for everyone coolsmiley Or they could give us a three meat choice, chicken, meatloaf, or ham. Each choice would be in 2 oz servings and you could have two pieces of meat (4 oz's total). Sides would be Mash Potatoes, Cole Slaw, and apple sauce. This is served family style and would be $9.50 a plate, plus tax and drinks.

I asked about Gluten free items and she suggested the Buffalo Joes with no bread? Undecided They did have salads on the menu we might be able to order in advance.

While their menu is online and has many options, I think she is nervous about doing a group, like this. Reviews on trip advisor have this rated over the Hays House. So question is do you want to try this, and if so I need a commitment and a meal selection, or do you want to just go to the Hays House, for old times sake? I told Mrs. McClintock I would get back with her by the end of the week, so speak up, please let me know what you are thinking.

I haven't seen, or talked to anyone since last year, way to long! tickedoff

I am always willing to try a new place. Although I don't eat cole slaw or cottage cheese. We will plan on being wherever the lunch is.

Hey.  If Lane's going to be there I'm going to try and make it.
