Rocky Mountain High !

Hey everyone. Just came back from a short ride. Got a new AVON COBRA installed on front Saturday after work. The rear was new a couple of weeks ago...AVON VENOM. I tried to get a VENOM for the front but was not able to...was told they don't make them anymore. It is amazing how good new tires feel. I can definitely feel a difference between a used one & a new one. When I had my 99 Valk Interstate I let someone talk me into getting a CAR tire on the rear. It was total stupidity. Made turns for crap after I installed it. Could smell burning rubber every time I got off the bike. The sidewalls rubbed on the frame. I sure learned MY lesson by doing such a foolish thing. There are those who like it...so they say...but it is not for me. If you're thinking of installing a car tire on your bike, I strongly recommend that you DO NOT!!! I live in Colorado & there are a LOT of good mountain roads to ride but not with a car tire. Anyway...Ride safe no matter what. IBA 1990 tommy t

I would'nt have anything else ( car tire ) on the rear of my Valk's its superior when wet and offers so much more in hard brakeing and the big plus it fits the fat girls big a$$  Wink  ....I use high performance directional tires only . I've had ( 7 ) Cooper Zeon 2XS and have about 2,200 miles on a Fuzion ZRi all in 205/55/16.

I agree with Joe %100!! I can't imagine ever going back to a m/c tire. I wouldn't
advise people to try/not try it on my recommendation though. I think people should
make up their own mind...don't you?
