I’ve been helping son Andy with a “government project” as my Dad would have called it. He’s experimenting with timber frame building techniques using CNC machines to cut the joints. These are from some hickory trees he dropped a year ago and recently had cut into 6” by 6” beams.

He’s building the arbor he and Autumn plan to get hitched under. Funny, I figured they’d get married in tree stands or on the Valk but I guess at dawn in their backyard woods is cool too.

I love timberframe homes!! Would love to build one some day.
