Any reason I can not do this as I did with my 2001  Valk  ??
I drove all the way to Bend Or  ,  loaded her up and drove back to Az

They are the same size and should fit the same, I assume  , if there's anything to worry about , it's the wheel base , if I remember correctly , the wheel sat right on the tail gate space between the bed and tail gate , if ya know what I  mean

The black in Scottsdale  , they want $11759 , with ttl and other stuff it comes out to  a few dollars under $15K

The used blue Valk with $1700K of accessorizes and 3K miles for $10500 is what I am after

The list is as follows , really , I am not impressed

BACKREST WITH PAD   08F70-MJR-670    $274.95
LEATHER SADDLEBAG (STUDDED)    08L56-MFY-100D    $619.95
REAR CARRIER    08L71-MJR-670    $169.95
REAR CARRIER ATTACHMENT KIT    08L72-MJR-670    $149.95
SADDLEBAG MOUNT BRKT    08L70-MJR-670    $149.95
SADDLEBAG STAY    08L75-MJR-670    $239.95
ACCESSORY SOCKET    08E70-MJR-670    $79.95

When I bought my bike a couple of weeks ago, I put it in the back of my truck.  I have an 8ft bed with a toolbox up front and I had no problem.  I had to let the tailgate down but it was not a big deal.  Plenty of room

I'd offer 10k OTD  for the blue one and ride it home, can't be that cold of a ride, 3 years ago I bought a 99 Goldwing in Cottonwood in Feb. Jacket gloves and down 17. Was a little chilly till I got down the Black Canyon hill.

The blue one is located 1000  miles away  , the temps are around 40 to 50  all the way .
I ain't driving  a bike any amount of miles in those temps

If it were warm , I'd take a train there and ride back

Sorry, I thought the used one was at Go Daddy. Did you try down in So. Scottsdale on McDowell, Western Honda? They will give a good deal. I would shoot for 12k OTD. Mine was $11,790 OTD but NC sales tax and reg. is at least 1/2 of AZ.

That is North Valley Honda, I know them very well, They are on Cave Creek Rd south of Bell Rd, ask for Rick the sales manager and tell him your old buddy Bob Bryk sent you in, maybe they'll knock off another G. The other good dealer that I was talking about is in South Scottsdale on McDowell Rd. west of Scottsdale Rd. They have been there forever, doing bidness as Western Honda. It is a small family place, call to see if they can sharpen their pencil over the phone. They are supposed to be the top Goldwing store in AZ. They also have a web site.

I moved to NC a year ago, I am driving out to visit end of Feb. with Valk in tow, ole lady and 2 dogs. I miss Az and will be looking for a small place to hang my hat for several months a year.

40 and above is perfectly fine as long as you have a windshield in front and helmet and gloves and of course a decent windproof top on as well, do it all the time in WI - toughen up, especially if the sun is out and daylight out.  At nighttime driving,  much below 40 degrees is not much fun.

Now, when it dips much below say 38 degrees is when long distance rides I don't prefer.  You will survive!

The first one is in Colorado , talked to them already  ,  $11750   plus TTL

Here's one I like  more because it's blue
https://milwaukee.craigslist.org/mcd/5401321592.html
It's a couple of hundred  more   before TTL   and then  there's shipping for both  that adds $450   to anywhere in the US
