Broken speedometer

My speedometer isn’t working right. It’ll jump up to the speed I’m riding then drop back to zero. Any ideas? Here’s a short video at the end of it you’ll see it jump.

The IS speedo pickup (on left of the front wheel) is electronic and known to fail occasionally, especially if you ride in the wet. I'd suggest replacing that pickup.

Actually
all Valks use the same speedometer drive units
.
The I/S speedometer
display
is not the same as the tourers and standards.
The I/S
converts the rotation of the speedo drive to digital impulses
, while the other models are mechanicaly operated (through the speedo cable).
But as Daniel mentioned, they are prone to failure.
Take my word on this one.

Well, here’s the update!
Bought a new cable for $70 and that took care of the problem. Was actually an easy fix. Took care of the radio volume problem also, that was annoying!
thanks all!!
