We were cruising right at 55, came around a curve out in the middle of nowhere and there sits a state trooper. Pappy said if he hadn't been holding it down a little since I was with him, he would have been booking it a good 10-15 over. Say what you will about riding a bit more conservative(doesn't mean slow), it does save your wallet when least expected. In my over 60 yrs. on bikes, I've never had a ticket.  I've only had three in a car since age 16, one was an accident caused by getting stung on the ear by a big black wasp and I temporarily lost control and hit a truck in front when stopped at a light. Judge threw it out when the guy I hit told him what happened. Didn't do anything to his truck, ruined the front of my Datsun 510.

We had a nice run to the bakery, sat outside and chatted while listening to some pretty good guitar playing/singing, then headed home. Got home about 3:15, was a good ride all around, glad everyone that could was able to get out on a great day.

Was just teasing you.....If you hadn't been there I would have been doing about 45 in that long, perfectly straight stretch of 55mph limit road. I had to speed up because of you..... Roll Eyes
