« on: September 15, 2009, 12:35:53 PM »

I will be heading for Silverton Colorado on the 25th of this month. Going to ride the million dollar highway for the second time. I have also made reservations for Soaring Colorado, see link below. Anyone ever done this. Looks like a kick in the A$$ can't wait to go!

Also I want to let everyone know that our Bumblebee is in first place for the National Street Kings Bike Show!!!! WOOOOHOOOOO!! Last check we were up by 246 votes with voting ending on the 18th of this month. If you have not voted please go to
WWW.RIDENOW.COM
follow the link and vote for the only Valk in the show. This was a national event but I here from DAG and ANDY that we have gotten many votes from overseas!!! How cool is that!! I want to thank you all for voting and to also let you know it will not be forgotten. I plan on having a few contests to win a prize I will ship or have dropped shipped to you. It will be simple, just pick a number that I will have chosen in advance and the one closest will win. Hopefully this is not against the rules of this board. Maybe Willow will read this post and comment if it is ok or not. Thanks again all!!!

That looks like that would be a blast. Wish Colorado was closer.

I used to be a glider tow-plane pilot for Sundance Aviation in Moriarty, New Mexico.  Have done over 3300 tows including many for folks taking their first ever airplane ride.  No one ever landed without a big grin on their face!  You will love it, guaranteed. It's probably impossible for one that likes motorcycle riding to not get a kick out of gliders too. (Also have a commercial pilot glider rating. Flying the gliders was fun too, but I enjoyed more flying the old agplane tow-planes.)

Well if you get the urge bad to soar a little higher there is a glider ride place on the north edge of Durango. It's quiet a site to see the Rockies from 17,000 in a small aircraft.

Have fun on the zip lines, you going for the all day ride choice?

My apologies.  I usually don't do links because of my super slow dialup service.  My remarks regarding airplane type soaring still apply.
