Now I've always wondered why Honda put the aux input jack in the right side cover on the IS ?
To me it would make perfect sense to mount a hard point in the fairing, since most people mount their phone/gps/mp3 units somewhere to the front of the bike, usually on the handle bars.
With that in mind, I was wondering how you folks have wired up your handlebar mounted "stuff".
Has anyone ran a wire to a hard point in the fairing, with that you could just plug and unplug quickly?
I guess an other option would be to connect a Bluetooth receiver inside the right side cover, then just run a short power unit to it, that way you wouldn't have to keep opening the cover to recharge it. Just sync your phone to the receiver and voila.
Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated
Either way works. I ran a cable from the cover to the handlebars.
Remember, these bikes were made before smartphones and before MP3 players became popular. They couldn't have imagined why you'd need the aux input in the fairing or on the handlebars...
