I have been wanting an ST1300 for a few years. I finally broke down and bought one today. It's a red 2008 with 11000 miles..... no dings or scratches. I am riding up to Savannah on Saturday so I can test out it's road manners.

CONGRATS on the new ride Art.

Man, I sure hope we did not make a bad first impression since we just met you for the first time a couple of weeks ago and now you are jumping ship  Evil Grin

Seriously, hope you have many happy miles with your ST and hope we can see it in person in the near future  cooldude

Congratulations Art, glad you got what you wanted, 5 Valks and moving on to the ST, seems to be a popular ride these days, I saw a green/metallic one yesterday that looked sweet I must say.  cooldude

Art... I have been looking at a ST 1300  that my neighbor is selling. Similar to what you have bought. This one is a 08 candy apple with 7,500 miles. Really clean and I can pick it up for $6k. Would you say that is a really good deal? Nothing wrong with the bike at all. I haven't ridden this model of Honda so curious how comfortable on the long rides? You've ridden both it sounds like so why did you buy yours?
Thanks for you thoughts!  uglystupid2

I paid 7K for my '08 Candy Red with 11K miles, so to me your deal sounds Real good!  I haven't put but a few miles on mine yet...will put around 400 on it Saturday. But my opinion so far....the bike is smooth, quiet and deceptively fast. I thought I was running around 60 then looked at the speedometer and was going 80. I'm sure the speedometer is fast....just don't know how fast yet. I just installed my GPS and will check the speedometer against it tomorrow or Saturday. I bought mine because I like the body style, I like the V4 engine and I wanted something newer and with fuel injection instead of carbs, and a little more technology.
