As you all know we usually do a gathering in Portland, ME every February. Well this year I never had a chance to set it up because we have had some significant health problems with Laura's father. He has been down at Bridgeport Hospital since January 10th and this past Friday we finally signed hospice orders. Tomorrow he'll be released home to live out his final days which I suspect shouldn't be more than a week.
Keep Laura in and her family in your thoughts. It's not so much the years as it is the mileage

Oh man, this breaks my heart. Let Laura know we are both thinking of her and her mother. Please tell mom, I don't know what you tell her, except I love her and and would take away her sorrow if I could. Hold Laura for me, give her my love.

On Friday (the day they were going to send John home) he took a significant turn for the worse so he remained in the hospice suite at Bridgeport Hospital. Today just a bit before 2:00PM he peacefully passed away.

Our heart felt condolences Laura and Chris. Bernie and I were just talking about John today and this past week we were laughing about him at your bachelor party especially the hockey game and his antics.
