Going back to a stock horn, that I do not have yet but is on the way.   I take it the stock horn uses the mount as the ground and I only have one wire for hot?   Current horn uses a hot and ground wire and I want to run a new wire wile I have the tank off for other work. So I assume I only need to run one wire?

There are 2 wires to the oem horn, both of which are black in color. If you have an aftermarket horn, more than likely it's connected to a relay and that's why you have a (+)ve and a (-) ve going to it.
