Excessive comfort breeds weakness. PttP

Olathe, KS

« on: September 17, 2009, 08:15:00 AM »

I can't give a lot (any) details, but we're working on a location that is looking very promising.

We may be able to announce something as early as the beginning of October.

Hope to see you all there.

Okay, a few quick questions:

Would you be willing to pay a few dollars more for the room if the accommodations were a lot better than we've had before?

Would you attend if it were a couple of hundred miles further from your home?

How about if it were a lot closer?

Would you attend if it were in November?

Would you attend if you were the only one from the VRCC that would otherwise be missing?

Would you attend if the Friday night blowout included three of the staff dancing naked on the tabletops?

Would you attend if it were almost, but not quite exactly like last year's InZane?

Inzane IX was my first Inzane and I thought it was awesome!  If it were held in November I would hope that it would be somewhere warm (ie. southern Florida, southern Texas, southern Arizona....you get the idea...somewhere warm).  Distance is not a factor for me.

I would be willing to spend more on accommodations (I want internet access in my room), however I don't want what I say to cause an undue hardship on others.

Surely the only thing that would certainly keep me away is if it were you, Scott or Oz doing the table dancing!

If your wife is going to make more strawberry pies, I'll be there. I've been having flashbacks of Inzane IX.....I'm sitting with Daniel Meyer, some of my buddies from Washington State and I think MP was there. Only a few pies left to be auctioned off, Daniel has the bid up to $100 for a strawberry pie, I pitch in $20 for a piece, he wins the bidding at $120.

Best $120 pie I ever had! Money well spent! cooldude

Would you be willing to pay a few dollars more for the room if the accommodations were a lot better than we've had before? - depends on the location
Would you attend if it were a couple of hundred miles further from your home? - depends on the location

How about if it were a lot closer? - depends on the location

Would you attend if it were in November? - depends on the location

Would you attend if you were the only one from the VRCC that would otherwise be missing? - huh?

Would you attend if the Friday night blowout included three of the staff dancing naked on the tabletops? - probably not, my eyes are bad enough, blindness is not something I would eagerly run to
Would you attend if it were almost, but not quite exactly like last year's InZane? - depends on the location

My attendance is decided by the same factor it is every year:
Time.

If I have the time, I'll be there.  None of the other factors are big enough to keep me away, or draw me in any more than other years.  I know it's not helpful, but it at least tells you that no matter where you hold it, some people will be there if they can.

Would you attend if it were a couple of hundred miles further from your home? Yes, sir!

How about if it were a lot closer? YEP

Would you attend if it were in November? Anytime, anywhere!

Would you attend if you were the only one from the VRCC that would otherwise be missing? YEP

Would you attend if the Friday night blowout included three of the staff dancing naked on the tabletops? As long as I was not one of the three!  Cheesy

Would you attend if it were almost, but not quite exactly like last year's InZane? YEP

OH, and if auctioning pies would encourage people to attend, I would be more than happy to make them!  cooldude

Willow, please don't think I was being sarcastic in my response earlier.  I mentioned location because it would depend on how many days I could request leave for, sometimes my boss is not very cooperative when I want to take time off.

A few quick answers.

Would you be willing to pay a few dollars more for the room if the accommodations were a lot better than we've had before?

I camp. I've never stayed at the Ground Zero hotel.

Would you attend if it were a couple of hundred miles further from your home?
If I could, then sure!
I would like it to be further from my home than TN. I want a little more ride than that anyway (last TN Inzane I had to leave and head to Key West and back to rack up the miles).

How about if it were a lot closer?
Probably, but I'd rather ride a bit to get there.

Would you attend if it were in November?
Honestly, I don't know. Summer 2010 I'll be back in school, so that would get in the way of me coming. November might make it easier, although all the holidays look like it would make it harder to plan for that week. I already have 2 or 3 thanksgivings I have to do in November.

Would you attend if you were the only one from the VRCC that would otherwise be missing?
maybe. Typically I make up my own mind without regard for who is on the guest list.

Would you attend if the Friday night blowout included three of the staff dancing naked on the tabletops?
which 3? But, probably not. If the staff is dancing naked on the table tops would the board admin have to censor it? They probably should.

Would you attend if it were almost, but not quite exactly like last year's InZane?
I missed like last years, so I don't know. I can't make CO next summer either because of the prior commitment with my summer time.

Awesome photo of the snow Al.  I was going to ask when you found daylight to take the photo, but then I saw that it was taken in November. I guess in November you guys still have some daylight.

Would you be willing to pay a few dollars more for the room if the accommodations were a lot better than we've had before?
Probably, but the accommodations are secondary to the camaraderie and seeing all the Valkyries in one place.

Would you attend if it were a couple of hundred miles further from your home?
You bet!  The journey is a great part of the adventure.

How about if it were a lot closer?
You bet!  I'd attend if it were across the street.

Would you attend if it were in November?
Possibly.  It would depend on the location.  A big part of the fun for us is riding in cooler weather while our neighbors endure the hot Texas summer and November in Texas is prime riding season.

Would you attend if you were the only one from the VRCC that would otherwise be missing?
We sure would try.

Would you attend if the Friday night blowout included three of the staff dancing naked on the tabletops?
Sure.  Well, I guess.  Um, maybe.

Would you attend if it were almost, but not quite exactly like last year's InZane?
Yes, and we met several of the promotions people from Copper Mountain one night in Frisco and they said they would love to have an opportunity to host the VRCC.  PM sent.

That's a good question. In November (late) in NE Ohio, we could have SNOW... *edit, come to find they were just kidding about that part...

Would you attend if you were the only one from the VRCC that would otherwise be missing? um... what?

Would you attend if the Friday night blowout included three of the staff dancing naked on the tabletops? no comment

Would you attend if it were almost, but not quite exactly like last year's InZane? sure, but they should each be, at least, a bit different from the others.

Okay, a few quick questions:

Would you be willing to pay a few dollars more for the room if the accommodations were a lot better than we've had before?

Would you attend if it were a couple of hundred miles further from your home?Yes, I ah, won?, the shortest distance traveled award. It was actually 71, not 63 that I thought at award hand-out

How about if it were a lot closer?See above, what, my back yard?

Would you attend if it were in November?Colorado has to deal with snow and ice, on occasion, so probably not

Would you attend if you were the only one from the VRCC that would otherwise be missing?Silly girl

Would you attend if the Friday night blowout included three of the staff dancing naked on the tabletops? Can I pick the staff members and will we be able to cover them in "real-home-made whip cream"

Would you attend if it were almost, but not quite exactly like last year's InZane? Yepper

Well I was looking forward to my first Inzane but if you have it in November count me out.
The risky weather and shorter days make it unsafe to travel any large distance.

A mid point like Tennessee would be a good choice since the last one was in Colorado.

Is it going to be in Olathe?

Time is the major issue for me. But the earlier the date is set the more likely I can find the time.

November?   I have heated gloves, as long as I can get out of the driveway I am willing to travel.  Only if it looks like this I am stuck home

Depending on where its at, doing a waterballoon toss in November could put dents in the tank and we won't even get into the added level of difficulty with the bite the weeny contest.

I can't give a lot (any) details, but we're working on a location that is looking very promising.

We may be able to announce something as early as the beginning of October.

Hope to see you all there.

Would you attend if it were in November?  Fall possibly, november is out, work obligations.

Would you attend if you were the only one from the VRCC that would otherwise be missing? Yes

Would you attend if the Friday night blowout included three of the staff dancing naked on the tabletops? Only if you lock up Stanley Steamer

Would you attend if it were almost, but not quite exactly like last year's InZane?

I would happily attend any  IZ if it could be back in Zanesville OH again, regardless of the nekid staff members.

I would also put my vote in for Michigans Grand Traverse area (Traverse City and the Leelanau Peninsula).
And goofy stuff is a virually required for having a large time in MI (as per the code of the Misguided).
