This place has good food and is centrally located for you ride planners. I'm not planning, just throwing it out there.

Nick,
Sorry just saw this. I left at 6:15am to meet a couple ST1300 riders in Mulberry then we were heading North via 33/19 into Tavares. At 7:15 I was not yet to the bridge (7 miles from my home) I sat in traffic with the sun rising and fog clearing surrounded by texters...I mean everyone, old, young, contractors, didn't matter everyone was on their fricken cell phones. Visibility was poor with the sun in my eyes. As I looked towards the bridge all I could see was a parking lot of cars, last chance before the bridge to bail and I took it. I can honestly say I won't be riding anymore on weekdays or during commuting hours.
I didn't feel safe under the circumstances, my gut was screaming "get the heck out of hear"
I can't wait to retire and move out of Pinellas.

So true, every time I see the pics of Mikes rides in SC my heart sinks.  Wow what it would be like to have those roads.  I won't ride to work anymore only away from traffic as best as possible at all times.  I have been hit twice this year on my trek to work in the car, I will not spend a lot of money on a car for me.

I can't wait to get out of Palmegetto!

I don't care what you may have heard on some realtors website.  There is no property for sale here in congested North Florida.  Why just the other day I had to wait for 2 cars to pass before I could pull out on the hard road. Smiley

Wow Terry, rush hour traffic can really be a PITA!  Grin  Now, take rush hour traffic here in Orlando....please!!!  Before I retired, my 17 mile run to work took at least an hour but only if I left home at 7:00am. Going home, closer to 1 1/2 hrs. and that's using back streets in both cases.

Try Brandon between 5:00 and 6:00, no matter where you are headed, cannot get there.  Only about 4 major north south roads, and backups are several miles long. I make it a point to stay home at those times.

DeLand, Florida

I love where we are! DeLand and surrounds is still old Florida. It feels like a hundred year difference between here and all of the "prized" touristy areas of the Sunshine state. I hope not too many read this so it stays like that.
