I had to get rid of mine, I wear a size 12.5 boot and was unable to have my foot sitting straight within the heel-toe shifter, my ankle was always twisted with my toes sticking outside the front of the shifter.  Size 10 or so and smaller probably wouldn't have the same issue.  I went with Cobra floorboards and no heel-toe shifter instead.

I've never liked Heel/toe shifters. When you step on the heel it can cause too much pressure on the shifter. Pulling up with the toe is a more positive feel. Wings sometimes have tranny gear problems. There's a lot of correlation with heel/toe shifters and these problems. I'm sure the nay sayers will flame on now.

Have heel/toe factory shifter on my 2006 Kawasaki V2k and really like it. So, after purchasing my first 1999 standard, I thought heel/toe would be good on that too. I did buy the MC Heel/Toe and installed it, I did like having floor boards for sure, and the finish is very nice, but I went back to the toe shifter after a couple of weeks. I have size 9 feet and had no issues with fitment, I just felt that that the toe shift worked better for me on this bike. If you do want to try it though, I would make you a great deal on the package, it is virtually new.

I'm a 12-13 and I live with it, but as others mentioned, the large foot fit isn't great.  They could  also be more comfortable if they were to sit a little further forward, but I understand the shifter relationship doesn't allow it. The heel/toe thing is very nice. What you WILL hate is the constant scraping if you are any kind of an aggressive rider. Mine are at least 3/4 worn through the outer aluminum edge. Once I get to the rubber, I'll probably pitch them and go back to OE with a decent set of highway pegs.

It has bigger boards (and I think a bit more space between the front rear shift pegs than my Rattlebars Kickshifter and Cobra boards, but it is not as nice looking as my setup.  Make sure you want a heel toe setup before spending; it is my experience that people who have toe shifted all their life, cannot get used to heel toe shifting (and go back).  I'm the other way around; I absolutely hate toe shifting (up).

With my Cobras and Rattlebars (and no lowering kit), my 8 1/2 left boot sits at 45* with the toe off the front outside edge of the board all the time on my Cobra boards, there is not enough room between the shift pegs for the foot to sit only on the board between the pegs.  It does not bother me at all.  I do have to be careful in a maximum, board dragging left lean, as my left toe has been violently drug off the board, and knee twisted if not paying attention.

I'm not a fan of how they look, but I cannot ever recall reading about them not working as advertised on a Valk.  Of course function is always more important than looks.

Edit: Just read Tundra's (Doug's) next post:  I have never ridden the MCE setup, just mine.  I'm only 5'9" and get both feet down easily, and on 13" shocks.  I'm certain the Cobra boards (which for the Valk were adapted from smaller passenger boards of other bikes, because of the limited space behind the valve covers) are smaller/narrower than the MCE boards (which in turn will drag sooner in leans than the Cobras, which in turn will drag sooner than OE pegs).  I sometimes put my leg behind one Cobra board, to stop the bike from rolling backwards in a slight elevation while stopped.... if I don't feel like using the brake).

I had them on for about 8 years and have no complaints. I actually preferred it as it offered much more space and you can position your feet in many different positions/angles as you ride or get tired. The left foot (shift foot) was generally positioned at an angle, toe out left side of shifter. This brand did not have much slop in it, pretty positive shifting. If you are a canyon carver they will drag for certain, not a maybe. Good news is you get used to it and they do fold up easily when contact is made. I removed the heavy return spring from the underside. My thoughts were this would allow it to fold up faster/easier when needed? No proof of that, but I slept easier. I also ran "Rattlerbars" kick shifter which I also have no complaints, functions perfectly and eliminates the scraping as it's installed with stock pegs.
Would I use them again? Yes, if I still had my Valkyrie. Oh, one more thing which would be more of a deal breaker than anything above. They cause your feet to be planted out (wider) 4-6" when stopped. If you are not 6' tall or more, this can create an awkward and unsafe condition when stopping/feet down. This would not be the case if mounting on a trike.

Sidebar: I do have a flawless, as new condition "Rattlebars" kickshifter for sale currently somewhere in the classifieds. This can be shifted either way, heal/toe or just toe. This offers the most positive shifting IMHO
