Besides degraded performance, mostly leaks.

Shocks in back, forks/springs in front, but I get it.

Not sure I have any symptoms. Just OEM and was riding in this morning and was thinking.

No leaks (knock on wood) was just wondering. Do not notice any performance or handling issues,

Was just wondering... cooldude

How many miles do you have on the shocks?

On the way hoe from work yesterday, I noticed a rattle in the front end...so I puled everything off the fairing and went in to tighten everything I could. Everything was tight, did not want to over torque anything to try and dampen a rattle over bumps in the road. So now I am thinking maybe the springs need to be replaced? I see no signs of a leak and was wondering of the springs are bad, would they make the front end sound as if the fairing is loose? Or am I just crazy?  uglystupid2

Is it an Interstate? those fairings will rattle a bunch if you hit bumps in the road, or at least mine does. the woodsy I have on my bee not so much.

I covered the inside of my fairing with DynaMat.  Even the back sides of the removable speaker panels.  The fairing is quiet.  Also if you knock on it, it sounds solid, not hollow.

I believe 3M makes something very similar.  A good place to look would be a auto paint store that supplies auto body shops.

When I picked up my 2nd Valk, a Std. the rear OEM shocks were so stiff...at 40K, that the front end was doing all the damping which initially made me think it was the front end because it was just Hammering at every bump because there was no give in the rear.  When I realized there really wasn't any bounce left in the shocks I put on Progressive...I think 412 HD's on and now it rides like a dream.
