I'm looking for  a trailer hitch for my 97 Tourer.  Not sure what brand is better. I found a Kuryakin brand that fits a GL 1500 on Craigslist.  Can't find on the Kuryakin website if they are interchangeable.  Does anyone have any advice on better brand or if interchangeable? Or better yet, have one you're trying to get rid of?
On a side note, 63 degrees in north central Mn yesterday, and the wife and went for our first ride of the season. Awesome!

Gary,

A couple of my riding friends have the Hitch Doc.  They offer a couple models but the one they both have is the "hidden receiver"  in other words when you don't need the ball the receiver is covered by the fender, nice clean look.

Put a WTB ad in our classifieds. That's how I got my HitchDoc. I don't have the receiver type just the plain one. I think most here consider the HitchDoc the one to go with. The one you are thinking about wont fit. When you go to install one get someone to help. They are a bear by yourself.

the goldwing has a different frame so i doubt it will be a bolt on installation... if the price is right, it may be worth the effort to make it work !

If it is for a GW, then they are TOTALLY different, and wouldn't be worth the effort to make it fit. You would need a welder also, if you don't have one yet, if you even could alter it.

The GW hitch u-bolt mounts onto the lower cage for the rear bags/trunk.

ok, I appreciate all the info.  I'll pass on the craigslist  hitch, and look for a hitch doc in the VRCC ads.
It wasn't a super deal anyway, so no problem.  And, I'm not in any rush.
