Can you direct me to a video of the complete Rear End Service? Gonna do my own work this time around, would like to see it done by someone on screen. Thank you.

I had admin post a PowerPoint slideshow in Shoptalk.  It's called something like rear end service by Chrisj, left side half way down the page

+1 on the video idea.  Like many, I'm a visual learner.  That PowerPoint presentation is great, but seeing video and hearing commentary would be so much better.  It would be great to have videos of common maintenance tasks like proper lift and tie down technique, splines maintenance, tank removal, etc..  In this age of video cameras in everyone's pocket we could have a great resource.  If we get enough clips I'll compile them and make a reference DVD to share.  So if someone has a free hand at your next wrench party please consider taking maintenance videos!   cooldude

While I'm not knocking the idea of a video, and actually think it's a great idea; many of us have done one better and attended a number of Inzanes and gone to Daniel Meyer's tech sessions in which he not only does the rear end maintenance but also answers any questions one might have.

I think I've attended about 7 of these yearly tech sessions, even dating back to the days  when Ratdog used to do them.

I can't stress the benefit of attending one of these events if you've never been to one.

Oh, and thanks, Daniel and Ratdog for providing your expertise!

Well that might work just fine if you live in America. I don't, so videos of such tech sessions would be a huge help for those of us that can't attend for whatever reason.

BTW I used Chris's powerpoint presentation to do my rear end and it was a massive help.

Cheers,

Mark

I like both the video and the power point. Lets me see what the power point is referring to.

It's like getting a repair manual and a service manual. Service is for Techies, and the repair is for the home user. Sometimes shows a few technique on how-to a little better.
