Has it been desmogged?  Is the tank off?

Might be a bit easier.  I changed mine this past summer.  Tank was on, had to lift the rear of it a little and needed a flashlight to see where the hose hooks up to the pair valve.  A couple of long pliers from Harbor Freight, angled and straight will help.

I followed these instructions.

Edit;  I used a piece of stiff wire run through the hose that runs up to the pair valve to get it lined up to where it goes.  About a 1/4 inch of wire sticking out, fed the wire into the hole of the tube the hose connects to and used long pliers to get the hose to slide on.  Tricky, but I didn't have to remove the tank.

When there is one or two intake runners missing it is  definitely  easier
to get your hand in there and change out vacuum lines and carb drain
lines and the caps on the back of the runners...

If the tank is off it is easy to loosen the (two?) bolts that
hold the air box on, and then remove all the intake runner bolts... the whole
assembly (airbox and runners and the hoses that connect them) becomes
free floating in there. Prying the runners off is a real breeze then...
