I stopped at the Rockingham NC Honda shop to look around
today... They have a Blue 1800 Valkyrie with a OEM tall
windshield and a passenger backrest for $10,999... new
I think, I didn't ask about it...

Thanks guys.  Wow, I paid more for my bike.  I am now working with the insurance company.  I kind of have them by the balls because I named all the extras I put on the bike on the policy and the policy provides for a one year newer bike.  That might be moot since there are a ton of new 2014 models out there.

Gravel got me in a turn.  Went into a culvert that was soft grass and mud.  A broken down coiled up barb wire fence got me.  The bike cart wheeled and tossed me.  I wear protection that a racer would wear and walk away without a scratch.  Still damn lucky.
I just bought a red 2014 in Colorado via ebay (new) no ABS but the price was 11K before my state taxes and delivery - great deal.

I swear Doug, I did not put him up to it.      Robert tell him I had nothing to do with the post!

2014 Valk 1800

« Reply #46 on: April 25, 2016, 05:57:32 AM »

I know everyone has paid varying prices for their new Valks and I don't want to get into that discussion.  But I will post where I got mine from in Chattanooga, TN at Southern Honda PowerSports.  Their prices include everything but sales tax and they will give you accessory discounts if you get stuff when you buy the bike.  I purchased mine back in May of 2015 for the same price they are advertising now $11,997 on a Blue 2014 model.  I have purchased 4 Honda's from them and not had any problems.  Here is the link:

Just check the dealer where I bought mine.  They are going up on price I guess because it is spring time and riding time,  They were 11999.00 and now are 13999.00.  There are still a whole lot of CTX 1300's  I am sure Honda wishes would go away.   The valkyrie I believe is catching on at the price point it is now.  The CTX is a hard sell even at 10k.

tickedoff Interesting how people seem to know prices that dealers have sold these for even though never talked to them! ha ha . . When I bought mine last April, My dealer used to work for Fay Meyers and called them to verify  the $11,000.00 otd. He found out it was true and gave me another $750.00 off but couldn't match their price. They sold 2 of them for that otd a year ago, That doesn't mean they will now. I had already agreed to buy his, so I paid the difference to buy local and he gave it his best. Dealers are in Business to make money incase some have lost sight of that. These bikes are nice and any price close to $12,000 is as good as you can expect new. 3 year warranty is transferrable so don't be afraid to buy used

I bought my from Faye Meyers in Co and paid 10,999.00 out the door. - shipping was 600.00 and local taxes (pre-collected) for Alabama. Funny my LOCAL dealer wouldn't come off his 14 k price point on a bike that has sat on his showroom floor for 2 years.

I replaced the front tire after 14,000 miles but the rear still has plenty tread left...... this is a great picture... now I can remove the rear wheel and just take it in rather than the whole bike.   save even more $$$$$$$
