Well it looks like things are falling into place for me moving to Tucson in mid June. My new job will involve doing 12hr shifts, 0700- 1900.
During that time of year, I think I should be OK going to work in the AM, I was just wondering what kind of temps (and preparations) I should be looking at coming home between 1900-2000?

I'm originally from The west coast of Florida, then moved temporarily to OKC for 7 months, now I'm looking to move to Tucson. Tampa has a very active biker community, being able to ride almost year long. Just about a 2.5 hr ride to the east coast, such as Daytona, passing through Orlando. OKC? not so much. How are things in the Tucson area for activities, such as bike nights and rallies or such?

If at first you don't succeed, then perhaps skydiving isn't for you

Hot.  90s to 100s on average.  Rain during monsoon season (Aug).

I'm not familiar with the bike nights and such in the Tucson area but it's a good sized town and I'm sure you'll find plenty of guys to ride with. There is good riding in the area.  cooldude As far as temps, I ride year round here. Depending on the length of your commute . I used to commute an hour each way at the peak of summer it gets above 120*. Iced drink in a styrofoam cup works best for me. I have found a soaking wet sweat shirt under a mesh jacket will work for an hour. It's all going to be worth it to be near your son.  cooldude

Not to worry as it is a "dry heat"
