The original Yuasa batteries that came in the Valks when new lasted 7-8 years, some even longer.  Get another from your Honda Dealer.  Make sure it is fully charged before putting into service.

Don't get a Yuasa from a battery "store".  It is Not the same.

I have switched over to a Deltran Battery Tender LiFePO4 battery on both my bikes. Absolutely no issues. Good cranking power and I never have to put it on a charger.

Last month I replaced my battery with a Battery Plus (X2-14 MADE BY DURACELL) sealed, maintenance free, high performance, gel-type. Has higher cranking amps than stock YUSA. I didn't have any problems, but after six years on the last one from Battery Plus, I thought it was time.  cooldude

Anyone replace the lights on interstate trunk with leds, if so what did you use.

There used to be a link that showed a how-to, with pictures, of a trunk light conversion to LEDs.  I believe the project was put together by Red Barber and Bill Gurney (Grumpy).

I went and found it, but it no longer works.

It involves a partial disassembly of the trunk, use of heat gun to disassemble the glued-together light sockets, install of small LED arrays in place of bulbs, wrapping the new assemblies in foam before putting them back in the trunk.

These were the LED arrays used in the project:   http://www.shop.braggengineering.com/product.sc?productId=3&categoryId=1

This is the non-working link (FWIW):    http://home.comcast.net/~red.barber/taillight.htm

This is a wiring diagram that may be useful:   http://www.rattlebars.com/mtz/istrunklights.html
