Moving ahead so life won’t pass me by.

Spring Hill, Fl.

« on: April 11, 2016, 09:00:40 PM »

Patti and I rode out to Mount Dora on Sunday, we had a great time. There are some great restaurants out there and unique shops too. The Tarpon Springs olive oil and vinegar shop was a great experience, they had about 20 different flavored oils that they let you taste and about the same amount of flavored vinegars.
Peach and mango vinegar flavors and chive and oregano oil flavors were my picks. Patti bought 3 vinegars and 1 oil. Sunday was a great day and we had a great ride out there. We should plan a ride out there some time.
You need to read about my homeward experience, I posted it on the general site.   Shocked

Mount Dora is indeed a very nice place with lots of things to interest both the guys and the ladies as well. You are right about many good restaurants. Tavares right next door is also a good destination.

Copacabana Cuban is one of our favorites to eat in Mt Dora....keep saying we will try someplace different but always end up
eating there.

......And the town is named after my great great Grandmother, Dora Drawdy. Just can't get any better than that!

Bassman, when we walked by the Copacabana Cuban restaurant patti snapped a picture and sent it to her son's inlaws which happen to be from Cuba. They sounded very interested. Definitely going back.

Pappy tell us about great great Grandma.  Why did they name it after her?

Mount Dora is a really great place to visit.Been there several time and have eaten at that restaurant every time. The people there are motorcycle friendly. The best time to go is when the arts fest is going on.All kinds of stuff for sale and I bought a leather vest there.Maybe make it a RTE sometime and let the ladies shop.A win/win for everyone.
